Thai Visas
-
Processing times vary by visa type:
- Tourist visa extensions: often same-day at the immigration office
- Non-Immigrant visas (marriage, retirement): one to three working days
- Work permits: two to four weeks
We give you an accurate timeline at your free consultation based on your specific situation and the current processing times at your local immigration office.
-
A Thai marriage visa (Non-Immigrant O based on marriage) typically requires:
- Your valid passport with at least 18 months remaining
- Thai marriage certificate (Khor Ror 3)
- Proof of financial support: 400,000 THB in a Thai bank account or monthly income of 40,000 THB
- Copy of your spouse's Thai national ID and house registration
- Passport photos
- Completed TM.7 application form
Requirements can change and vary slightly by immigration office. We prepare and verify your complete document package before every submission.
-
The Thai retirement visa (Non-Immigrant O-A) requires you to be 50 years of age or older. The financial requirement is either 800,000 THB deposited in a Thai bank account, monthly income of at least 65,000 THB, or a combination totalling 800,000 THB per year.
You will also need a criminal background check from your home country and a medical certificate. We handle the full application and advise on the most straightforward way to meet the financial requirements.
-
The government application fee for a Non-Immigrant O visa based on marriage is 1,900 Baht for a single-entry visa or 3,800 Baht for multiple-entry. Our consultancy fee is discussed at your free consultation and depends on the complexity of your case. Contact us for a clear quote before any work begins.
-
If you are married to a Thai national you can apply for a Non-Immigrant O visa based on marriage, renewable annually. Financial requirements are either 400,000 Baht seasoned in a Thai bank account for at least two months, or monthly income of at least 40,000 Baht transferred from abroad.
If you are not yet married you would need to enter on a tourist visa or Non-Immigrant O, marry in Thailand first, then convert to a marriage visa. We handle the full process including document preparation, translation and accompanying you to the immigration office.
-
The 800,000 Baht requirement is set by Thai Immigration and cannot be waived. However there is an alternative -- you can use the monthly income method, which requires proof of at least 65,000 Baht per month transferred into a Thai bank account from abroad, or a combination method where income and savings together total 800,000 Baht annually.
We advise on which method applies to your situation and help prepare the required documentation. Contact us as early as possible before your renewal date.
Western Country Visas

Processing times vary and change frequently. As a general guide:
- US tourist visa (B-2): interview appointments in Bangkok currently take several weeks to schedule, with processing after the interview taking a further one to three weeks
- Canadian visitor visa: submitted online, typically two to eight weeks

We strongly advise applying well in advance of your intended travel date. We check current wait times at your consultation.

The K-1 fiance visa allows a US citizen to bring their foreign fiance to the United States for the purpose of marriage. The couple must marry within 90 days of the fiance's arrival. It is one of the most complex US visa types and involves both a USCIS petition and a consular interview in Bangkok.
